Transport of industrial fertilizers ecologically

During the difficult situation after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine in 2022, our company was able to find new alternative routes in a very short time so that we could meet our obligations and also offer and ensure to our clients in a difficult situation the supply of industrial fertilizers for autumn fertilization and pre-storaging for spring of 2023.

The most ecological way of transport for large-volume transport, such as industrial fertilizers, is water transport. Although Czechia does not have direct access to the sea, river transport is an interesting alternative. In large seaports, transshipment will take place from large ocean-going vessels to small river barges. During the 2nd half of 2022, we loaded a total of six sets of river vessels. The goods were transported to transshipment points, from where the fertilizers were then delivered by classic road trucks to final destinations. In addition, several thousand tons were also transported using complete train sets. If agriculture is to feed the ever-growing human population of our planet, it cannot do without industrial fertilizers for the time being. However, this does not mean that it is not possible to treat the Earth in a gentle way during their production, transport and application.
